Anna and James. Their first meeting seemed fortuitous. On the tail end of a bad date, Anna fell for the handsome bartender in the tiny town tucked amid New York’s Finger Lakes. And James fell for her.
But only days into their romance, Anna found James entangled with another woman. One he is tied to indelibly. Still, he promised Anna his faithfulness. He promised her the life of her dreams. He promised nothing could come between them.
Then, death did. And Anna should have known. As a scholar of adulterous literature, Madame Bovary and Hester Prynne are her best friends. Still, she trusted James. Now, all she has are his lies. And maybe, some lies of her own.
